BRASS MEMORIAL TO THOMAS CLERE, ST MARY’S, LAMBETH

An etching of Thomas Clere's brass memorial in St Mary-at-Lambeth. Thomas was the youngest son of Sir Robert Clere and a cousin of Anne Boleyn. He died on 14th April 1545 and his epitaph (now missing) was written by his friend Henry Howard, the Earl of Surrey. From 'The History of the Parish of Lambeth' by Thomas Allen, published 1826.
