The royal train approaching Waterloo Station, seen from the bomb-damaged site of Field's Candle Factory, near Upper Marsh in Lambeth. The George public house is immediately behind the former factory chimney.
Taken by the Rev. Paul Gedge, who was the last vicar of Holy Trinity in Carlisle Street, and donated by his family.
