An advert for a boxing match between Bomb. Wells and Frank Morgan at the Pavilion in Brixton. The bout for the White Heavy-weight World Champion (the colour bar was not lifted in boxing until 1947) took place on 29th March 1915 between the Englishman Bombardier Billy Wells and the American Frank Moran, the latter winning. Wells was also an occasional actor becoming one of 'gong strikers' for J. Arthur Rank films. From Brixton Free Press, March 1915 p.5.
