United Dairies, situated on the east side of Valley Road, were originally Curtis Bros.Dairy. The original part of the building dating from the early part of the nineteenth century, can be seen on the extreme left behind the newer Tudor style construction. The dairy used to deliver both milk and the mineral waters from the Well House spa, which was part of the site. Now replaced by the Unigate dairy and surrounded by housing developments built in the 1980s and 1990s.
