A victim of the Brixton nail bomb being tended to by a security guard and a passerby. The bomb on the 17th April 1999 was left at the rear of the Iceland supermarket on the corner of Electric Avenue and Brixton Road. It was one of the Borough's worst race hate crimes, injuring 48 people. A 23-year old engineer from Hampshire was later jailed for the crime.
