The 1908 Christmas decorations in Streatham High Road. A real photographic postcard published by Card House. The message notes, 'Dear Vi, I thought you would like to see how Streatham looked at Xmas at night. It was illuminated with hundreds of Chinese lanterns of various shapes and colours, panes decorated and the Sth Met Gas lighted half and the Electric Light Co, the other half'.  ID; IV 336/14/1
