Soldiers from the First Surrey Rifles during World War I training in a farmyard, perhaps prior to being sent to France. Begun initially in 1859 as a voluntary Army Corps in Peckham, it relocated to Flodden Road, Camberwell in 1864. A Surrey Collection photograph from a now destroyed nitrate negative.
