ALBERT EMBANKMENT, LAMBETH

ALBERT EMBANKMENT, LAMBETH

Lighters towing barges passed newly-constructed offices on Albert Embankment, partly built on the site of the Doulton factory. The building third from the right was Queensborough House, opened in May 1957 as the National Coal Board's headquarters. The central building under construction was the headquarters of British Steel.
