A fake letter sent to Charles Needham, 152 Streatham High Road, to advise against the letting of the Blue Hall for a women's suffrage meeting. The letter was supposed to have originated from the Brixton MP, J.H. Seaverns to prevent the Streatham Women's Liberal Federation hosting a talk on women's suffrage by Misses Crickmay and Corbett on 27th October 1908. 'The Labour & Socialist Members are very much incensed at the treatment meted out to Will Thorne through Miss Pankhurst that they are determined to prevent any Suffragist meetings being held in a peacable manner for some time'. From Brixton Free Press, dated 20th November 1908.
