In the relevant file, most of the residents of the Hemberton Road section objected to the name change via petition. Also listed as resident is Arthur Henderson (1863-1935) a leader of the Labour Party, the party's first minister in Lloyd George's war cabinet and winner of the 1934 Nobel Peace Prize.
