Photographs of the Atkins memorials when rediscovered beneath the old parish church of St Paul, Clapham in 1885 by Mr J.W.Grover. The seated figure in Roman costume is Henry Atkins who died in 1677 aged 24. The two reclining figures are his parents; Sir Richard Atkins, Lord of the Manor of Clapham (died 1689) and Lady Rebecca. Two daughters who predeceased their parents were also found - Rebecca and Annabella. The sculptures are still on view in a chapel of the church.
