Apportionment costs for the making-up of the road were estimated to be - £203 for asphalt paths laid on concrete bed, £93.1.5 for a kerb in granite, £87.7.6. for granite kerb channel, £142.13 for a road of hardcore regulate with flints and £42 for gulleys. From Apportionment Files dated 21st January 1898. The files show the apportionment of costs to each owner for the construction of paths and roadways adjacent to their properties.
