Fire engines tending a fire in Belvedere Road, Waterloo. Reports at the time state it began in the timber yard of Mr George Myers at Ordnance Wharf, also destroying the works of Messrs Christopher Nickels & Co., a patent India rubber web manufacturer. The fire damaged the premises of Mr Grissell & Peto and Messrs Walter Crosser & Son, timber merchants.Engraving from Illustrated London News, dated 9th February 1850.
