Notice from Blank Expression on the site of the Cans Festival in Leake Street, Waterloo, sanctioning the area as a prosecution-free zone for graffiti artists. Blank Expression are a non-profit organisation who act as an 'introduction agency' between artists and owners of walls happy for them to be used for artworks. Two pre-festival artworks still survive on this wall: Banksy's policeman and Invader's mosaic. The Festival, which ran from 3rd-5th May, was organised Blank Expression and Pictures on Walls with permission from the British Rail Residuary Board and Department of Transport. It was the world's largest exhibition of stencilled street art, and featured over 40 international artists, attracting 30,000 visitors. Digital image of June 2008.
