The Joy Day for children of deceased soldiers killed in World War I was organised by the Brixton, Stockwell and Clapham branch of the British Legion. It was held at the Ivy Leaf Club Hall, Brixton Road, and attended by over 500 children. Photograph from the Illustrated Press, c.1920.
