This view of the junction of Coldharbour Lane (seen on the left) and Brixton Hill shows Brixton Theatre and part of the Tate Library on the right. The theatre, built in 1896, was destroyed by a bomb during the blitz in November 1940, and is now replaced by the Ritzy Cinema. The Prince of Wales public house can be seen in the background on the left. Linskey Postcard Collection.
