BRIXTON ROAD FROM TOWN HALL TOWER

A view north-east of Brixton Road from the Town Hall tower, showing the intersection with Coldharbour Lane, the old Prince of Wales public house and surviving gardens associated with houses lining the road. The road frontage was realigned westwards for redevelopment of the open space during the 1930s, notably adding a new Woolworths store and public house.Ref: SP4252
