CANTERBURY THEATRE, UPPER MARSH, WATERLOO : PROGRAMME

The Canterbury Theatre of Varieties, Upper Marsh. One of London's most famous Music-halls, established in 1849 by Charles Morton, who added a new hall in 1851 and another one in 1855. Rebuilt in 1867 by R.E.Villiers, the theatre survived until it was bombed in World War II. Programme celebrating the 52nd Anniversary of the Canterbury on Friday November 25th 1904, listing appearances by many famous performers including Lillie Langtry, Kate Carney, George Robey, Harry Tate and Little Tich.
