CAVENDISH HOUSE, CLAPHAM COMMON SOUTH SIDE

Cavendish House, Clapham Common, the home of the noted scientist Henry Cavendish who lived here between 1782 -1810. It was built by Thomas Cubitt and his family also lived here between 1827-1832. The house was demolished in 1905. Interior view showing part of the collection of paintings of Henry Sanford Bicknell, taken when he lived in Cavendish House between 1864 -1880.
