CEDARS TERRACES, CLAPHAM COMMON NORTH SIDE, CLAPHAM

Cedars Terraces, Nos 43-47 & 48-52 Clapham Common North Side, were built as grand houses in 1860 to the designs of J.T.Knowles in the French Renaissance style. No. 43 achieved a certain infamy when an Irish Republican Army (IRA) bomb-making factory was discovered there in 1976. Photographed here in January 1981
