Punch cartoon by Craven Hill of Charlie Chaplin with his trademark cane and bowler. Chaplin (1889 - 1977) was born in Lambeth, the son of Charles and Hannah Chaplin, music hall performers. He spent some of his early life in a succession of children's homes and the Lambeth Workhouse.
