CHRIST CHURCH, WESTMINSTER BRIDGE ROAD, WATERLOO

View of Christ Church from Westminster Bridge Road with Kennington Road on the right. The church was built in 1874-76 with the foundation stone laid by the American Anbassador. Built at a cost of £5,000, it was partly funded by the Congregational Church in America, and the spire on the tower known as Lincoln Tower, has stars and stripes decoration. Published in the 'Guide to Lambeth' 1931. (p79).
