Anti-aircraft defences. 48 AA Brigade London. During World War II a heavy anti-aircraft artillery site had been set at Clapham Common. Nissen huts were erected for the gun crews; there were ammunition bunkers, searchlights and sound locaters.Imperial War Museum. Negative no. MH 15428.
