Clapham Library, Clapham Common North Side, was built in 1889, to a design entitled 'light' by the architect E.B.I'Anson. The library was opened by Lord Avebury on 31st October 1889. A great deal of window area , particularly the large east facing bay windows seen on the right provide ample light supplemented by suspended artificial lighting. View of the reading area and stacks in the north room.
