A programme for a 'Grand Matinee Variety Concert to be held at the new Workhouse in Renfrew Street, Kennington on the 18th January 1894. Organised by Professor MacCann, acts included Walter Munroe, the celebrated Irish comedian, Miss Lottie Bates 'the child actress' and Captain Charles Beaumont, 'premier illusionist'.
