CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, CLAPHAM

CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, CLAPHAM

The Congregational Church was built in 1852, to a design by John Tarring, an architect who specialised in non-conformist churches. The spire was a landmark and figured in many views of Clapham until 1944 when it was hit by a flying bomb during World War II, and pulled down ten years later.
