A Coronation tea was provided for 120 children living in the vicinity of Gibb's Close to celebrate the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. It was organised by Mr. and Mrs. and Miss Parsons. Each child received a souvenir hair brush, with portraits of the King and Queen on the back. From The Times & Advertiser. 21st May 1937.
