COUNTY HALL, BELVEDERE ROAD, WATERLOO

COUNTY HALL, BELVEDERE ROAD, WATERLOO

View from Belvedere Road showing part of the North Block and the South Block (on the right). Built between 1935 and 1939, it was designed by the architects Giles Gilbert Scott and F. W. Hiorns. The London County Hall was the home London's government until the Greater London Council was abolished in 1986. These two buildings have been converted into luxury appartments with underground carparking, and two more residential blocks added to the car park seen in this view.
