CRYSTAL PALACE, SYDENHAM, UPPER NORWOOD

The Crystal Palace, Sydenham Hill. The visit of the Shah of Persia, Nasr-Ed-Din seen here accompanied by members of the British Royal family'. A dais had been erected for him on the great stage on the garden side of the Centre Transept, and he was entertained by international performers, fountain and firework displays. Engraving by unknown artist published in a book by Hudson & Kearns Ltd. for the auction on Tuesday 28th November 1911.Ref: 19/59 p.42b
