This was the headquarters for Streatham's local Territorial unit which formed 'A' Company of the 5th East Surrey Regiment and the 225th Anti-Tank Battery, Royal Artillery. By mid 1950s the hall was acquired by the Jewish community. Since 1983 it has been used as the Hayderi Islamic Centre, a local Muslim community.
