Eagle House, Clapham Common South Side, viewed across the lawns at the back of the house. It was the home of William Edgar, founder of the department store, Swan & Edgar in 1820. Demolished in 1899, except for a small part, previously the billiard room, in Narbonne Avenue, which still survives as offices.
