St Mary's Infant School in Lambeth Road was built in 1880 on land given by Archbishop Tait. It was purchased in 2005 by Farley House School and is said to be haunted by the ghost of Mercy Weller, the first head mistress who lived in the dwelling attached on the left-hand side.
