FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE

Florence Nightingale (1820 -1910) shown in the Barrack Hospital at Scutari in Crimea, was famous for her dedication and contribution to nursing and her role in the Crimean War. She started the Florence Nightingale Nurses Training School at St Thomas' Hospital, Lambeth, where the Nightingale Museum is presently situated. Published in 'The Illustrated London News' 24th February 1855.
