A pencil drawing 'Copy of the frontispiece to a scarce tract, representing one of the ancient stews on Bankside. size of original 5 inches square', taken from a 1632 engraving. Of all the early 17th century 'stews' or brothel, Holland's Leaguer had perhaps the most fame. It was established in the former manor house of Paris Garden, but closed in 1631 by order of King Charles I. From Surrey Prints Collection, ID: SP3/187/HOL.1
