GAY LIBERATION BADGES

Badges from the Gay Liberation Front events in the 1970s. The Front was a radical self-organising group of lesbians and gay men which developed in the early 1970s. There was a Gay Centre in Brixton from 1972 as well as gay squats around Mayall and Railton Roads. The Front also held some of its early meetings at the Minet Library.
