Depiction of the Globe Theatre on Bankside, Southwark. The venue was incorrectly identified in an early Hollar engraving, leading to later confusion. However, it is now accepted that the building here isn't the Bear Baiting arena/ Hope Theatre, but Shakespeare's Globe theatre, rebuilt after the first theatre was destroyed by fire.
