GRAFFITIED BUILDING, ATLANTIC ROAD, BRIXTON

GRAFFITIED BUILDING, ATLANTIC ROAD, BRIXTON

The graffitied former Railway Hotel in Atlantic Road, Brixton. A good example of 'territorial' tagging, illustrating just why this form of graffiti is considered by many residents to be more an act of vandalism than artistry. The building had the misfortune of being adjacent to a railway line, a regular haunt of taggers as well as providing easy access to the roof areas. Digital photograph dated 24th February 2008. From the Graffiti Gallery, recording Lambeth's urban art.
