South Lodge, South Side Clapham Common, seen from the garden. In 1929 it became the Henry Thornton Boys' Secondary School, but was demolished in 1966, along with the adjacent Stowey House, to make way for a new comprehensive school. It was the home of department store owner Frederick Gorringe from 1896-1920.
