Elevated view south across Holmewood Gardens, Brixton Hill, a Victorian development built in the 1890s around a triangle of open space and on the site of a large ornamental garden that lay adjacent to the Congregational Chapel and Sunday School. The houses have survived largely in tact despite the area having suffered from bomb damage during World War II.
