Joseph Buckmaster, from the subscription record book associated with the 1773 restoration of the tomb of the John Tradescants in St Mary-at-Lambeth. The tomb was completely repaired at a cost of £16.2.8d under the direction of Samuel Compton and Joseph Buckmaster and subscribers included; Archbishop Cornwallis, Peter Theobald, John Field, Benjamin White and Thomas Curtis. Joseph Buckmaster, with his partner William Head, build several of the terraced dwellings along Lambeth Road, notably Union Place and Lambeth Rectory. One reference cites his trade as 'plumber'.
