KINGS AVENUE, CLAPHAM PARK

The block of flats at No.32-34 Kings Avenue, Clapham Park, was built in 1953 originally as accommodation for police officers. Helen Dickinson, the daughter of George Mayhew a sergeant at Scotland Yard recalls, 'we had lived in a shared house with two other police families, so to move to this new modern flat was heaven to us'.
