Nursing staff in the garden of the Lambeth Council Maternity Home at Hannen House, 12 Hannen Road, West Norwood. The house was bought by the Council in June 1920 at a cost of £750 as a maternity home, but within 6 months over 300 women per month were using the facilities and more accommodation was required.
