Lambeth Mission staff. Rev. Thomas Tiplady, seated on the left, remodelled and named the old Lambeth Methodist Chapel 'The Ideal' in 1928 for a pioneering new venture to widen the influence of the church through Cinema Evangelism. He also wrote many new hymns set to popular classical and folk themes which were published in America and performed frequently at the Mission services.
