LAMBETH SAVINGS BANK, HERCULES ROAD, LAMBETH

Established in 1849, the Lambeth Savings Bank was in Hercules Road on the corner with Carlisle Street and adjacent to the National School building. The eventual widening of the railway to service Waterloo, seen here in the background, caused the building to be demolished.Ref: LP12/839/BAN.1
