LETTER REGARDING DISEASE AND DEATH, LAMBETH

A letter from 'R.M.' to The Builder magazine regarding 'the vapours of disease and death in Lambeth' and suggesting the removal of the polluting industries associated with riverside Lambeth in the mid-19th century. Princes Street being noted as a 'seat of poison' with it's bone-boilers, potteries and starch-makers.Ref: The Builder, Vol.8, No.367, 16th February 1850.
