Madame Adelina Patti was a well-known opera singer who stayed in Atkins Road, Clapham Park, at 'Villa Rossina' (Pierrepont House) during her summer seasons at the Royal Opera House. She married the Marquis de Caux in 1868 at St Mary's, Clapham Park Road. Copy photograph of original oil painting.
