MAUDSLAY SONS & FIELD, WESTMINSTER BRIDGE ROAD

The buildings of Maudslay Sons & Field at 98-100 Westminster Bridge Road prior to demolition for the construction of the Kennington Road Station - later Lambeth North underground. Tram tracks are being laid in the street. They were manufacturers of steam engines, tanks for shipping and factory requisites. The firm moved to Lambeth in 1810 but closed in 1900.
