Mosaic of the Virgin Mary and Jesus in St John's church, Wiltshire Road, Angell Town, Brixton. It was one of two mosaics given to the church in 1929 by the master mosaicist Gertrude Martin in memory of her brothers Lawrence and George who were killed in World War I. She lived nearby at No.24 St James's Crescent (now Road). Her work also includes mosaics in Westminster Catherdral, Wilton Church, Belfast Cathedral and Houses of Parliament. She was buried at Lambeth Cemetery in 1952.
