NORTH STREET POTTERS, NORTH STREET, CLAPHAM

Clay being prepared for throwing by Sarah Williams at the North Street Pottery, Clapham. The clay is sourced from Stoke in Staffordshire and this preparatory work is required to ensure an even consistency and to remove air bubbles from the clay, preventing possible damage during firing.
