PALACE ROAD, STREATHAM HILL

A view looking south-east along Palace Road Streatham Hill. This road formed part of the Roupell Park Estate and is named after the Crystal Palace which was rebuilt on Sydenham Hill in 1854. For a time it was a private gated road, lined with large Victorian houses, some of which remain today.Digital image by kind permission of Graham Gower.
